Connie Karstens, MS, offers private wellness consultations incorporating whole foods nutrition, herbs, stress management techniques, and other natural remedies to support and build overall health and re-balance the body.
In her practice, Connie works to balance health for clients of all ages and a wide range of problems including digestive issues (acid reflux, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome), skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rashes, acne), autoimmune disorders, ADHD/ADD, fibromyalgia, anxiety, stress, fatigue, depression, sleep issues, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, balancing blood sugar levels and much more.

About Connie Karstens
Connie Karstens holds a Bachelor’s in Biology from the St. Thomas University with emphasis on Nutrition and Botany and a Master’s in Health and Nutrition Education from Hawthorn University. She taught college level nutrition for 14 years and also worked at a veterinary clinic. She is also certified as a First Line Therapy® Lifestyle Educator.
After studying medical herbalism for several years, she began her own clinical practice in 2005. Her key mentors include Mathew Wood, MSc, RH (AHG) and Lise Wolff, MSc, RH (AGH), but also include many other recognized herbal experts. She received her clinical training through an 18 month apprenticeship in Minneapolis.
Connie uses many local plants to make her own herbal tinctures, medicinal teas, oils, salves, and syrups. She also works with the Bach Flower and the Flower Essence Society (FES) remedies and, at times, homeopathic remedies.
She widely teaches classes both privately and through the community and conducts workshops to facilitate health and healing. In addition to herbs, nutrition and natural healing, she teaches a diversity of classes on sustainable agriculture, land stewardship and wild edibles.
