Founders Herb Walk

This morning will be filled with herbal knowledge from two local experts, Doug Schmoll & Connie Karstens. Join us on the Lamb Shoppe farm to discover herbal wisdom about plant identification, medicinal herbs, wild edibles and more. This year will mark the 23rd annual Herb Walk. We will take a stroll through the herbal garden and the farm’s backyard to learn about wild plants and their uses!  

About Doug Schmoll: Doug Schmoll is the owner of Potpourri Health Foods in downtown Willmar, MN which has been in business for over 40 years. He has organized the Founders Herb Walk for over 20 years. 

About Connie Karstens: Connie Karstens is the owner and founder of the Lamb Shoppe & Wellness Center. She holds a BS in biology and a MS in health and nutrition education. She has studied herbalism for 20 years. In her practice, Connie offers wellness consultations incorporating herbs, whole foods nutrition and other natural remedies.

• Bring your own picnic lunch for afterwards and dine amongst the plants! Snacks & beverages are available for purchase at the farm Shoppe. 
• Feel free to bring blankets/lawn chairs for during/after the herb walk.
• Dress appropriate for the weather. No pets allowed. 

Registration starts at 9:30 am.  $5 per person at door or prepay online.

Presentation by Robin Hermanson @ 1:00 pm

Robin Hermanson of South Dakota will be presenting information on how to apply simple, inexpensive techniques to take control of your health. He will bring together historical works from health experts including Dr. Carry Ream, Dr. Joe Wallach and Dr. Hulda Clark into easy ways to help solve a variety of health problems. Join us for an afternoon of expanding your health knowledge. After the presentation, anyone who wishes to stay for a fun, relaxing and unwinding time of homegrown entertainment is welcome to bring their musical instruments!
