Reasons to Dry Skin Brush

  1. Keeps the skin smooth, soft, and healthy. Dry skin brushing stimulates sweat and oil glands. These glands decrease production as you age which results in mature skin becoming dry.

  2. Stimulates connective tissue and collagen found in the skin. Collagen helps keeps our skin looking youthful. It prevents our skin from sagging.

  3. Enhancing the skin's appearance. Dry skin brushing helps to exfoliate the layers of dead cells since as you age, the skin's ability to shed the outermost layers decreases.

  4. Stimulates circulation. By stimulating the skin, it will help improve elimination in the body. The small capillaries under the skin especially get stimulated by dry skin brushing.

  5. Stimulates the lymphatic system. The lymph system does not have its own circulatory pump, so it relies on movement and manual stimulation.

  6. Tones muscles and stimulate nerve endings. Dry skin brushing can also relax muscles!

  7. Helps to redistribute fatty deposits. Since it helps with circulation and lymphatic drainage, it improves fatty deposits too!

  8. Helps with cellulite. By dry skin brushing regularly, it can help break up cellulite and even prevent further cellulite to form.

Tips on dry skin brushing:

  • It is important to use the brush dry! This will ensure that you get the most benefits.

  • Only use a natural bristled brush. It also helps if it has a long handle to reach all the areas on your body. Nylon can tear skin and disturbs the electromagnetic balance of the skin.

  • Don't forget to brush the soles of your feet!

How to use a dry skin brush:

The best way to start is at the feet and work towards the heart to stimulate venous circulation. Take your brush and start in small circles brushing all over the body on bare skin. Be thorough. Plan at least 5 minutes on your full body.

The best time of day to brush is to add it into your morning routine before showering. Dry skin brushing will help you feel invigorated for the day!

Keep it up regularly! You will see the best results if you brush once a day. After a few months, you will notice all the wonderful benefits.

Please note:

  • Do not brush any tender or inflamed areas or the face.

  • When you set, it may feel rough on the skin. Be sure to use gentle pressure until you get used to the sensation.
